Undrajavaram - Step I & 2

Undrajavaram - a village rich in agriculture and poultry farms is located near Nidadavolu (Constituency). The village is located near the metro city of Rajahmundry and Tanuku and is central to poultry farming the West Godavari District. Founders of Mallina Foundation hail from this village and are still connected with family members and friends.

Although Undrajavaram is a village rich with agriculture and poultry farming, the village still suffers from social issues (access to toilets, safe drinking water, regular power, diversified livelihood opportunities, waste management, prevent maternal and infant deaths, to name a few).  The criteria for a village to be declared a smart village can found here.

Step 1 towards the long journey of making Undrajavaram a smart village is to conduct a survey that will identify the gaps on 20 non-negotiables as defined by the government. After the survey, analysis is conducted to identify the available government funding to fulfill the 20 non-negotiables and the gap funding will be raised by Mallina Foundation. It is estimated to cost $10,000 USD to attain the Smart Village status with the first step of conducting the survey with $300 USD.

Step 2 is to analyze the data and generate a detailed report on required funding for identified non-negotiables.
